Children’s Ministry

NURSERY

Our Nursery is staffed with loving, professional, certified childcare workers adjacent to our amazing playground. It is open during all Sunday services, on Wednesday nights during our Food for the Soul programs, and on Thursday nights during choir rehearsals.

SUNDAY SCHOOL AND LOLLAPALOOZA

Sunday school and Lollapalooza provide Christian education and formation for children from PK-3 through 5th Grade on Sunday mornings.

Sunday School
10:00 – 10:50 am – Includes: Multi-age craft, singing, and memory verse time as well as an age-based breakout time for the Bible lesson and discussion. Children at the 9:15 service leave after receiving Communion to join the start of Sunday School.

Lollapalooza

10:50 – 11:20 am – Includes snack time, games, crafts and a time where the children can practice a verse, song or prayer to occasionally share with the congregation. Children whose parents are attending the 10:00 service will join their parents part-way through the service.

VACATION BIBLE SCHOOL

VBS is open to the community and provides an opportunity for children to grow in their faith, get to know other children, and have lots of fun!
DATES: June 11-15, 2012
TIME: 5:00 pm – 8:15 pm (Dinner served at 5:30)

HOW YOU CAN VOLUNTEER

Time requirements for teachers are approximately 1 hour a week planning and reviewing lessons plus an hour-and-a-half on Sunday mornings. Helpers commit only to the Sunday morning events. Volunteers for Vacation Bible School commit to serve for three hours each night through the entire week. Volunteers who regularly work with children must agree to training, background checks, and generally are known to the congregation for at least a year. Please contact the Church office to volunteer!
